Welcome to Islampur College, where the journey of knowledge and growth began half a century ago! Established with a vision to empower students with quality education, we take immense pride in completing 50 successful years of offering BA/B.Sc/B.Com courses.

Our commitment to providing accessible education is further reinforced by our association with the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) as a study centre. Through this collaboration, we offer the opportunity for higher education in open and distance mode to students who face challenges in continuing their regular studies.

At Islampur College, we believe in nurturing not only academic excellence but also social responsibility. Our students actively participate in various social activities through the National Service Scheme (NSS) and National Cadet Corps (NCC) units. These programs instil values of community service and leadership, making our graduates compassionate and responsible citizens.

One of our significant achievements is the establishment of a Minority Girls’ Hostel, made possible with generous financial assistance from the Government of West Bengal. This initiative provides female students from remote areas with a safe and conducive environment for pursuing their dreams of higher education.

To support the academic pursuits of our esteemed faculty members and students, we have developed a well-equipped library with a vast collection of over 12,000 holdings. With a dedicated journal section and a serene reading room, our library serves as a treasure trove of knowledge.
