Welcome to Islampur College, an affiliated College under the University of North Bengal, located in  Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal. Inspired by the timeless words of Swami Vivekananda, “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached,” Islampur College remains committed to nurturing focused, resilient, and socially responsible individuals who strive for academic excellence and personal growth.

At the heart of our educational philosophy lies the belief that every learner possesses an innate genius. When traditional teaching methods fail to meet a student’s needs, it becomes our responsibility to adapt our approach to suit diverse learning styles. Guided by this principle, the college has developed a student-centred teaching methodology aimed at delivering quality higher education and fostering academic excellence among students from varied backgrounds.

Islampur College emphasises disciplined learning, ethical values, and holistic development. The institution has steadily grown and today proudly offers 15 academic departments, supported by more than 55 dedicated faculty members, smart classrooms in every department, well-equipped laboratories, a modern library, an auditorium, an indoor stadium, Play Ground Hostel, a Canteen, an  NCC and NSS unit. Many of our faculty members bring valuable experience from national and international academic engagements, enriching the learning environment with global perspectives. Our efficient and empathetic non-teaching staff further support students by addressing their diverse academic and administrative needs.
