Practical Examination

 Students under FYUGP 2024-25 will have to submit a project report as a part of their SEC course of Semester-1 on Tourism and Entrepreneurship (POOASEC111).

Choose any one of the topics for the project report:

“Positive and negative impacts of tourism”

“Role of State Tourism Organisations (STOs) in promoting tourism in the States of India”

“Emerging areas of entrepreneurship in the tourism sector in India”

“Importance of Darjeeling as a tourism site in West Bengal”

  • The report should be an original work of the student, prepared in MS Word. The size of the paper will be A4, and the font will be Times New Roman. The font size will be 12 with a line spacing of 1.5. In case the student does not have access to a computer, the report may be prepared in the student’s own handwriting. The report may be prepared in English/Bengali.
  • There will be a cover page mentioning the title of the report, followed by a declaration of the candidate, content, list of tables, list of figures, abbreviation, chapters, annexure (if required), and references. The front page of the assignment shall contain the – Name and Signature of the student, Semester, University Roll Number, University Registration Number, Paper Name & Code and Mobile Number.
  • The write-up should be at least 10000 (ten thousand) words.
  • Students who have not yet submitted the project report as per earlier notifications, may submit within 11th March 2026 (Saturday). The submission is to be done by emailing a scanned copy of project report (with the student’s signature) along with a scanned copy of the student’s admit card at:

  • Students are to use their own email addresses for submitting their project reports.
  • This is a final chance for students who have not yet submitted the project report and those who do not submit it within the given date are liable to be marked absent for the practical examination.
  • Total marks = 20.
  • Students are to reach out to the subject teacher for clarification of doubts, if any.
